Why I have such a need for shiny and sparkle is beyond me, but I cater to the need. The base card is actually cream, but it appears white in the pic.

Love this vellum with bikes on it! You can't see the thin layer of silver mirror paper, but it's there. Needed some chrome!

RAK HIM!

Hi fellow card-makers!
I read this and had to pass it on:
There is a 7yr old boy in Ontario Canada, Shane Bernier, who has a special request. He is 7 yrs old with Leukemia. His wish for his 8th birthday, on May 30th, is to receive birthday cards from all over the world.
One card can make a difference!

Love is in the air...
Simple is as simple does, I guess. I keep falling into my one-stamp card rut, but darn it they are faster!
I am trying to use a lot of my patterned paper stash. I keep collecting and not using it. The same for embellishments. Must stop that!

Ahhh, love...

The couple is of course, Stampsmith. I just love her stamps! The background template is just something I made in Illustrator. Can't very well see the red Stickles on the hearts, but they sure do sparkle. I so love sparkle!

I got a couple $1 tiny valentine stamps from Michael's while I was visiting in PA. They are too cute.

One of my favorite "love" stamps although I don't think I've ever used until today.
This one is a bit wonky, but it's been a long while since I've stamped. Apparently it's not like riding a bike!

Rocky start, but published in the New Year!

I had a VERY rough start to my New Year as by 2pm New Years day I ended up on the side of the road with a bent up hood & a smashed windshield. Seems the hood was not latched properly and it flew up and smashed it to pieces! Not a fun experience, but luckily no one was behind me as I screeched to a blind halt and no one was hurt.
I did have these two cards published in Rubber Stamper magazine this month though! The Kiss is by Stampsmith (the best photo stamps!) and the Love tree is by Eureka.

'Tis the season...
I've been waiting since November to put up this huge banner, but wanted to wait until Christmas was tad closer. I knew I'd want one and wouldn't have time to make one later. lol That time is at hand. From now until a little after New Years I will be a scrambled egg, if not traveling, and most likely no cards will get made...so...anyway, what I wanted to say was:
No matter what you celebrate or where you are, I wanted to wish the very best to you and yours! May 2007 offer you love, peace, safety, health and more time to do what makes your soul content.
I'd also thank all who visit here and those bloggers that I visit daily to oogle their work. You all have inspired me one way or another!
Thanks to Eva Kipler, whose elements I used in my banner. I'm not sure where I found them on the web, but they are awesome!

While surfing blogs last week, I came upon one offering free UHU glue in exchange for a product review and link back to her site.
Just 5 days later the samples arrived! There was a glue stick AND a bottle of glue that could be twisted to apply like a glue stick rather than a squeeze bottle - neat idea. I have given both a try and I prefer the glue stick, at this point. As any liquid glue, the bottled kind tended to warp lighter paper, but seemed to hold objects fairly well! The glue stick, when applied generously, bonded great! I could see myself using this often.
So, visit the website and see if you can't give these products a try yourself!
click here and scroll to the November 2nd post for more info.

After seeing the Memoirs of a Geisha stamp, I had to go looking for her face. While looking at the stills from the movie, I fell in love with this image. Had to have it, had to use it. It's still only a one stamp card, but...

The colors of purple are off here because I was trying to catch some of the sparkle of the flake, but you get the idea. Simple is me these days.

Let there be music!

I grew tired of having the auto music play so now you can choose the music you want from my list of softer faves. If you've never heard Ottmar Leibert, I suggest giving him a listen in the Christmas section.
Thanks to DH for making the "jukebox" I wanted :)
